The Chair

I recently added a chair to my home office.  I have a nice leather office chair and because my office has been purely about function, I haven’t had any other seating in here.  If the girls came into visit or ask a question, they invariable began to pull on my chair, touch things, move things, and otherwise DRIVE ME NUTS!!!  A friend gave me a set of club chairs that she received from a friend.  These chairs wouldn’t work in her house and she gave them to me.  I haven’t had time to reupholster them, but one of these chairs has been a wonderful addition to the office.  Now, when the girls come in, they can sit in the chair.  Occasionally, one of them will bring a book into the office and read while I work.  They have a comfortable place to wait quietly while I finish up a phone call.  I am fussing a lot less than before and enjoying making them part of my working world.
